Institute for General and Vocational Pedagogy

The Institute for General and Vocational Pedagogy at the TU Darmstadt focusses on scientific reflection upon (vocational) education and training and their institutions within the particular combination of General Pedagogy and Vocational Pedagogy. Focusing on different areas, the research groups of the Institute pursue hand in hand the pressing issues and challenges facing pedagogical theory and practice in general, as well as in vocational context in view of substantial processes of social change.

The Institute of Psychology at the TU Darmstadt conducts basic research in perception and cognition, human development, social psychology and human-machine interaction. With five professorships, the Institute of Sports Science (IfS) at the TU Darmstadt is one of the most prominent sports institutes in Germany.
