One special characteristic of research and teaching at the Department of Human Sciences is its interdisciplinary approach. Education and training, behaviour and experience as well as body and human movement are integrated by different disciplinary aspects.
In the context of a technical university, the mission of the Department for Human Sciences is to maintain and expand the interdisciplinary relations to the technical or natural and engineering sciences of the TU Darmstadt. The Department sees itself as partner of the engineering and natural sciences in terms of research and teaching.
