“Wissenschaftsschloss” of the TU Darmstadt ceremoniously reopened

Bright sunshine, around 10,000 guests and a rich programme: with a big celebration, the TU reopened the “Wissenschaftsschloss” after 15 years of renovation and gave it back to the city society.
Dialogues with researchers, themed tours, lectures, music, hands-on activities for children and much more: TU Darmstadt offered visitors a rich programme for the opening of the Science Castle.
Under the motto “Humans think, learn and move”, visitors could try out the functioning of exo-skeletons on their own bodies at the hands-on stand of the Department of Human Sciences or run through the Exer-Game “Exertive Fish”, which prompts physical movements and reactions.
The hands-on stand was supervised by scientific staff of the department, who were available to answer questions and talk to the interested public with their expertise.
It was also possible to find out about the diverse and exciting degree programmes as well as the multifaceted, wide-ranging research topics and fields of the Department of Human Sciences.
